FAQ

How long do vinyl wraps last?

We use only the highest quality vinyl wrap material the market has to offer, such as 3M, Avery, KPMF, and Inozetek, to ensure the best longevity and durability. Typical lifespan of vinyl wraps, with proper care and maintenance, is around 5-7 years. Horizontal surfaces are more prone to UV and sun damage, and typically have a shorter life expectancy than vertical surfaces.

Can you ceramic coat vinyl wrap?

Yes! Ceramic coating is not only revolutionary in the detailing industry for protecting paint, but new formulas have been created specifically for vinyl that ensure increased durability and longevity that will extend the life of your wrap. Though not necessary, it is highly recommended!

Is it easy to remove vinyl if needed?

If the vinyl wrap has been well maintained, then yes, vinyl is easy to remove. If neglected, and constantly exposed to direct sunlight and intense summer heat, you may experience film failure, especially on horizontal surfaces, and removal will be much more difficult.

How long will Global window tint last?

We have been using Global Window Films for over 8 years, and have yet to experience a failure of any sort. The film carries a lifetime warranty from the manufacturer (Global) against any sort of film failure, such as delamination, purpling, bubbling, fading, or peeling.

What is the best way to clean tinted windows?

A simple, yet effective solution to cleaning tinted windows is a clean microfiber towel and water. If there is grime that needs additional cleaning, we recommend Invisible Glass, which is tint safe, or even 70% isopropyl alcohol. Many glass cleaners will do the trick, just stay away from products with ammonia, as this can damage the film and void the warranty.

How long does it take for window tint to cure?

Once window tint is installed, it is important to not roll the windows down for at least two days, as this may cause the edges to grab and peel. Noticeable moisture and water bubbles may be present during the curing process, please allow a week for all remaining water to completely drying out. Direct sunlight will accelerate this process.

How long does clear bra last?

With modern advances in the paint protection film industry, the film is lasting longer than ever, with Suntek offering a a ten year warranty against yellowing, bubbling, cracking, and other types of film failure. If coupled with a ceramic coating on top of the clear bra, you can extend the life by many years and ensure it is looking fresh for years to come.

Can I clear bra right after having paint repaired, or panels resprayed?

No, we highly recommend waiting at least 30 days after having any sort of paint repair or respraying of panels due to outgassing of the paint, which could lead to bubbling if the film is too soon.

Do you wrap the film around edges of panels?

We use a combination of Suntek's plotting software, with recommended edges extended, along with bulked installations to ensure the maximum coverage. If more edge wraps are desired, it will need to be requested at an additional cost.

How long does the process and application take?

The process of prepping, correcting, and coating the paint will take between 1-5 days depending on the condition of your paint, the size of the vehicle and the packages you select. Once the coating is applied, we will use a UV lamp to help accelerate the cure time, though we highly advise keeping the car indoors for the couple week to ensure the coating is cured properly.

Will Ceramic Pro prevent water spots?

No, Ceramic Pro will not prevent water spotting, but it WILL allow those pesky waterspots to be easily removed without damaging the surface. Because Ceramic Pro creates a protective layer over the substrate, it does not allow the minerals to corrode or etch the surface that Ceramic Pro is protecting, prolonging the life of your metals, paints, gelcoat, plastics, vinyls etc.

Does Ceramic Pro protect against rock chips?

Ceramic Pro is a Silica based product, meaning it is a “glass” coating. Ceramic Pro adds some rock chip resistance, but it can still get rock chips from larger stones and high speeds. This is a common misconception, and if you are looking for this type of protection, look to have a paint protection film applied.

How do I maintain my newly ceramic coated car?

Once the coating has cured (2-3 weeks), maintaining your car has never been easier.  Water and a mild soap will do the trick. Say goodbye to harsh chemicals, clay bars, etc. Quick detailer sprays are a great way to easily clean and maintain your coating
